My story

Growing up I was surrounded by cooking, my mom cooked almost all of our dinners, and this love of cooking and being in the kitchen was handed down to me. Growing up in the midwestern United States, I remember going to farm stands, picking wild berries, and being covered in strawberries while making heaps of homemade jam. This love of cooking took a back seat for a bit when working towards a fine arts degree, but was reawakened by a dear friend whose dad owned a restaurant in Savannah, Georgia.

During graduate school, I began to cook more and more with my bestie Laura. I remember creating wing themed dinners with special sauces for each flavor, wrapping fish in fig leaves from the trees in our backyard, making my mussels with chorizo infused broth and homemade bread. The fun and freedom I had whilst cooking was something unexpected and I fell in love.

My own experience with food had ups and downs throughout various health challenges, but no matter what cooking and food brought me joy. During the winter of 2019 I was presented the opportunity to expand not only my knowledge of cooking and nutrition but combine it with my love of creating foods that were vibrant and nourishing. My first client came to me while dealing with a chronic issue and in need of a chef to cook all meals and snacks for him. Thus Health and Healing Kitchen was born.

Over the past 6 years I have worked catering dinner parties, holiday parties, working as a pastry chef, creating meal plans for expectant mothers, healing meals for postpartum mothers, those who are dealing with chronic conditions, all while focusing seasonality, vibrancy, bold flavors, and fun.

I look forward to connecting with new clients to create colorful, healthy meals and unforgettable experiences.

Driven by passion

Food and creativity has always brought me a insurmountable amount of joy. Pivoting from my career as a full time art teacher to a chef has allowed me to combine my love of travels, flavors, cooking, health, and service to create exceptional experience for my clients and myself.
